Really fun guilty pleasure from back in the day. An adaptation of the Ninja Turtles comics that seamlessly combines the grim and grit of the original source material with the campy goofiness of the classic 1980's/1990's cartoon into one form that mashes the best of both worlds. While the movie may not be Kane, it's worth it for the fantastic costumes and puppetry, thanks to the late Jim Henson of Muppets fame in his final film, quotable dialogue, and a beautifully goofy rap song during the end credits (even if the rapper does get some of the facts wrong, as he states Raphael is the leader of the Turtles, even though it's actually Leonardo!). Cowabunga!
