Notes Third and last chapter of "the milieu trilogy".

The movie was shot in Palermo (Sicily) and near Rome.
The studio scenes was filmed at Dear Studio, and the former Madonna delle Rose clinic, in Rome.

At the end of 1973 following a libel lawsuit by the then Italian Minister Giovanni Gioia the film was seized and the director sent to trial. But the trial never took place, as Gioia withdrew the complaint.

In some interviews Fernando Di Leo has always stated that the movie is a "noir" and certainly not a "poliziottesco".
