While it isn’t quite as good as ‘Holy Grail’ or ‘Life Of Brian’, Monty Python’s ‘The Meaning Of Life’ is a really fun (if sometimes a little bit gross) romp, that ends the Monty Python franchise on a high (until the o2 Shows in 2014, that is) - Unlike ‘Grail’ or ‘Brian’, ‘Meaning Of Life’ is basically an extended episode of the ‘Flying Circus’ TV Series, except a little bit ruder, and contains more gross-out humour (the ‘Live Organ Transplant’ sketch even at age 32 still makes me wince!) with some really memorable moments such as the disgusting Mr. Creosote (I’m stwaffed!) and the fantastic musical numbers such as the controversial ‘Every Sperm Is Sacred’ (my Uncle was an extra in that scene!), not to mention the final appearance of Graham Chapman’s Cornel character - While ‘Grail’ and ‘Brain’ are solid 10/10, 5 Stars out of 5, A+ films - ‘Meaning of Life.’ would be an 8, in my opinion.
