Rosalino Cellamare

  • Born: (Dorno, Pavia, Lombardy, Italy)

Ron, pseudonym of Rosalino Cellamare, is an Italian singer-songwriter and musician.

The record debut takes place only with the first name, Rosalino, at the age of 16 at the Sanremo Festival in 1970 paired with Nada singing Pa 'diglielo a Ma'.

The following year he presented a song written by Paola Pallottino and Lucio Dalla, Il gigante e la bambina, to Un disco per l'estate, which was quite successful; He also recorded an Italian version of Father and Son by Cat Stevens in Italian (Figlio mio, padre mio).

In the same year he wrote La storia di Maddalena: this song was recorded by Sophia Loren and included in the soundtrack of the film La mortadella by Mario Monicelli (with the same Loren, Gigi Proietti, Susan Sarandon and Danny DeVito).
