Claudio Villa

Claudio Villa, stage name of Claudio Pica, was an Italian singer and film actor.

Occasionally he was also an author, with 35 songs deposited in his name. During his career he has sold 45 million records worldwide. Together with Domenico Modugno he boasts the record of victories (four) at the Sanremo Song Contest: in 1955, with Buongiorno tristezza; in 1957 with Corde della mia chitarra; in 1962 with Addio ... addio, in tandem with Modugno, and in 1967 with Non pensare a me. It also won the evening of independent authors, set up out of competition on the occasion of the 1957 Festival, with Ondamarina.
