Lina Volonghi, born Giuseppina Angela Volonghi, was an Italian actress, active in theater, cinema, radio and television.
Eclectic artist, she has been the interpreter of radio plays and plays in language and dialect (or partially dialectal), such as La bocca del lupo (set in her hometown, from the novel by Remigio Zena), Le baruffe chiozzotte and I rusteghi, of Carlo Goldoni. Thanks to his natural vis comica he has been able to play brilliant roles in numerous brilliant and pochade comedies, without neglecting works of greater dramaturgical commitment.
A long-standing actress at the Teatro Duse and at the Genoa Theatre with Luigi Squarzina, she held acting courses for young actors in the latter venue.
With her own particular timbre of voice, she read and recorded on vinyl several fairy tales from the I Racconta Storie collection. A theatrical award was established in her name.
