Arnoldo Foà was an Italian actor, voice actor, theatre director, singer and writer. He appeared in more than 130 films between 1938 and 2014.
His long artistic career is brilliant and studded with numerous successes and awards in the theater, film and television fields. In his private life he is the father of 5 daughters: Annalisa (1951-1995, also an actress), Valentina, Rossellina, Giulia and Orsetta.
His career in theater was intense and prestigious: classical and contemporary authors, directors such as Luchino Visconti, Luigi Squarzina, Luca Ronconi and Giorgio Strehler. His interpretations are memorable, incisive, the result of careful study, passion and dramatic measure chosen. As a director he stages prose and opera performances, and many of his comedies, always enjoying enormous success.
Arnoldo Foà contributes to the birth of Radio RAI and participates in many transmissions, both for information and entertainment, with important actors, authors and directors such as Cervi, Morelli, Ninchi, Anton Giulio Majano, Umberto Benedetto. From the fifties he became one of the most important voice actors, lending his unmistakable voice also for numerous documentaries.
