For almost a century, Chappell was one of the largest music publishing firms in the world.
Founded in 1810 as a music publisher and piano manufacturer, in 1941 Chappell & Co. formed the recording company Chappell Recorded Music and as publishers there were countless company name variations and branches worldwide. Its music production division also operated as a label, primarily focused on library music.
